Intermission – Air Classics magazines

Lest We Forget

Day 180

I remember exactly where I bought my first aviation magazine in the late 1960s.

I still have that Air Classics issue although it’s not as pristine as most of my aviation magazines.

I might sift through my collection of aviation magazines someday and I will show it here or on My Forgotten Hobby VI.

Getting back to my PBY Catalina…

This is my Sunday morning shot…

I have made more progress.

I am using the PDF document that was furnished with the decals.

The camouflage is a bit complex and I am using lots of Blue Tack.

Operation Blue Tack is now over and was successful.

Next is Operation Masking Tape…

About masking tapes…

I have taken the masking tape off the fuselage port side canopy since it doesn’t have to be painted with the second color. I was anxious to find how the masking came out.

I might be repainting some missing spots but I am not sure about this.

Unless something unexpected should happen I should be adding the second color later today…
