Unfinished business – Part 8: Closing the book on the Savior of Ceylon.

Day 229

Well I think it’s Day 229 of a special military operation.

I am feeling a little better today on two fronts. This long awaited project is in its final stage.

This project was about remembering The Savior of Ceylon…

Sunday I added decals on the PBY Catalina.

 

 

 

I had been procrastinating to add more decals on the PBY Catalina since last September.

 

 

I had that fear of messing things up again with the aftermarket decals. To fight against it, all the decals were cut and placed in full view early Sunday morning.

 

 

They were there staring at me all morning long. I decided I had enough and I went all in…

The port side first.

And then in the early evening…

The starboard side…

These parts are now in full display on my workbench.

I will let them stare at me for a little while and then decide what’s next.
